How to stop a heart attack in an emergency?
What is the first step that should be taken if someone around is showing the signs of a heart attack? I'm looking for practical advice that can help while waiting for emergency medical help.

If you suspect a heart attack, there is no safe home method to “stop” it. Treat it as an emergency:

    • Call your local emergency medical service immediately and do not drive yourself.
    • Keep the person resting and follow the emergency operator’s instructions. For an alert adult with non-traumatic chest pain, aspirin may be recommended while waiting, but only if there is no aspirin allergy or medical advice against it.
    • If the person becomes unresponsive and is not breathing normally, start CPR and use an AED if available.
